Welcome to eRenewable Resource Institute, an Arizona State Board for Postsecondary Education approved renewable energy school.  At eRenewable Resource Institute we are dedicated to providing the latest renewable energy technology to students interested in filling the growing trade demands of our nation’s green economy.  eRenewable’s entry and advanced level classes focus on residential and commercial solar design, installation and compliance through industry approved curriculum, hands-on working labs and seasoned solar professionals.

Solar is our business both as educators and when it comes to helping our students launch or enhance their green careers.  All eRenewable students qualify for Advanced Resource Group (ARG) Staffing’s free "green staffing machine," services that include assistance with job placement and career enhancement.

PV100: Solar Design & Installation

eRenewables PV 100 class is your entrance into an exciting entry-level career in the growing renewable energy industry.  Students develop basic trade knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, designs and safe installation of residential and commercial solar-electric systems.

 As an accelerated class PV 100 includes industry approved curriculum in either a five day or evening sessions.  The five day schedule includes four days of classroom and one day of hands-on installation labs.  Evening sessions are two nights per week with a one day installation lab. PV200: Advanced Solar Design & Compliance

This classroom oriented session expands upon PV100. It focuses on the National Electric Code (NEC), including grid interface calculations, grounding considerations and wire sizing. Participants evaluate system performance under various operating conditions. PV101: Solar Installation Lab

This hands-on workshop offers three (3) days (8am-5pm) of supervised installation practice on solar-electric systems. This workshop focuses on how to safely install, test and commission solar-electric systems. Hands-on labs for installation of source electrical including: disconnects ac/dc, inverters, meter base, combiner boxes, utility interconnects. Osha safety training integrated in program.

Participants will dissect and install components of two (2) grid-tied systems most commonly used in the Arizona. Class includes hands on labs for installation of panels/rails/mounts s-tile, composite shingle and mission tile. Participants will concentrate on grid-tied safety, wiring, and maintenance. The course will also cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing and overcurrent protection.
